NOMAD by name and NOMAD by nature. This applies wholeheartedly to the co founders of NOMAD Brewing co, Kerrie and Johnny Latta, Northern beaches locals who packed up their young family for a 3 month adventure in Italy and returned 9 years later. In that time they travelled extensively throughout Europe and the US, being inspired and excited by the interesting and varied beer styles they sampled.
Having already started a successful beer imports company in 2011 working with over 40 breweries worldwide they decided in 2013 that they would like to bring some of this inspiration back to home and start a brewery. From the beginning, the idea was always to produce interesting and varied beer styles utilising Australian native ingredients when possible.
To help them initiate this, they recruited fellow NOMAD Brooks Carretta as head brewer. Brook’s time brewing both in the US and Europe made him the perfect person to lead the brew team.
The first Australian brewery to produce a Gose with thei flagship Freshie Salt and Pepper they are proud to have done what they set out to do. Introduce new styles, tastes and flavours to the Australian beer drinking public and encourage them to appreciate the art of true craft beer.
Proudly independent brewing and packaging all their beers on site, they are proud to call the beaches home, and invite everyone to come down to the brewery to experience the true art of craft beer.
