Our spin on a classic!
This drink is simple – as always – with flavours that were seemingly meant for each other:
- 90ml Ginger beer
- Simple syrup (a liquid sweetener made by dissolving sugar in water -n1 part sugar: 1 part water)
- 30ml fresh lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon of fresh lime juice
- 45ml Tequila
- Salt for your rim (a must)
Directions:
Combine the tequila, lime zest, lime juice and a few ice cubes in a cocktail shaker and shake for 10 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass over ice. Taste, and stir in some simple syrup if you’d like it sweeter. Top off with the ginger beer and garnish with a lime wedge.
Note: To make simple syrup, bring equal parts sugar and water to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Cool and chill.
