Originally Called The Black Velvet Cocktail

This drink was first invented to mark the death of Prince Albert the husband of the reigning Monarch Queen Victoria in 1861. Historically this cocktail is made with one part Guinness (or any other Stout) and one part Sparkling.

Ingredients: One part Guinness, one part Sparkling. Simply fill a champagne flute halfway with Sparkling and then float the chilled Guinness on top of the wine.

For best results use an upside down spoon so that the liquid gently runs down the sides rather than splashing.

As always enjoy responsibly.
