First Creek Wines is a family owned and operated winery based in the Hunter Valley, Australia’s oldest wine producing region. The talented family of winemakers comprises of Liz, Shaun and Greg Silkman whose emphasis on careful fruit selection and rigorous attention to detail produce a range of wines that appeal to both critics and consumers alike.
It would be difficult to find a wine expert that wouldn’t agree the Hunter Valley is one of the world’s best Semillon regions. The climate and grape variety combine to produce a wine that is delicately flavoured, bright and crisp in its youth but with careful cellaring, develops into a richly layered and complex wine. Equally at home, simply sipping with friends or perfectly matched to Australia’s finest, fresh seafood, you’re sure to enjoy one of the Hunter Valley’s finest.
The fruit was crushed and pressed in the cool of the night to retain natural acidity and fresh aromatics. Fermented with a neutral yeast and bottled early to retain bright acidity and freshness. An excellent current vintage Semillon whilst still rewarding those who cellar.
