Vodka

Vodka is a clear distilled alcoholic beverage with a neutral taste and a high alcohol content. It is made from a grain or potato base, and most commercial vodkas contain between 40% and 50% alcohol by volume. Vodka originated in Russia, and its name comes from the Russian word “voda,” meaning “water.” Unlike other types of alcohol, vodka does not go through a fermentation process, so it is considered a “clean” alcohol. This makes it a popular choice for mixed drinks and shots. In addition, vodka is often used as a base for infused beverages, such as flavoured vodkas or “infusions.” Vodka can be enjoyed on its own or mixed with other ingredients to create a variety of cocktails.
