If you asked someone for a Gin and Tonic a few hundred years ago, you wouldn’t have been served the same refreshing drink that we know today. Gin as we know it, originated in the Netherlands in the mid-1500s, when a physician began prescribing a juniper-berried distilled spirit for medicinal purposes. Nowadays, Gin & Tonic are still very much in fashion with many flavoured varieties of “G&T’s” gracing our shelves.
