It all began 43 years ago, when Wayne, Mark and their father Neville Bayfield walked into the door of their new pub, the Dee Why Hotel, and at the same time launched one of NSW’s first Discount Liquor stores at the back of the carpark in the process. The Bayfield’s name has become endeared as one of the country’s most revered Liquor retailers and continues to this day.
Kaine, who feels like he was actually born at the pub, started pushing trolleys in the Liquor barn for Andy when he was about 8 and has since worked his way through all aspects of the business and is now the General Operations Manager!
Wayne and Mark continue guiding the business every day doing what they do best – Looking after locals with the best liquor deals in Sydney!

Bayfield’s At Belrose
If you are local to the Belrose area then you’ll be familiar with our Belrose Manager Craig (affectionately referred to as the “Mayor of Belrose”) because he knows just about everyone in the area. Craig is passionate about looking after our locals and community sporting clubs we support – it’s part of his customer service mantra.
Likewise, with Kostan whom you may remember from our Dee Why store. Kostan moved over to our Belrose store a while back and is absolutely loving it.
You may not see Michael out the front as much as our other two and that’s because big Mike is often out the back unloading the countless trucks and stocking up for this very busy store!
Some of you may remember all 3 from the OLD Crown of the Hill days of the 1990’s – they know their stuff – so please ask them anything!
Bayfield’s At Dee Why
Our Dee Why manager Chris is a Dee Why local – he even walks to work! Chris has extensive Liquor experience – from running big stores in South Australia and NSW to being a buyer for the Wine Society – he knows his wine – and beer & spirits too!
Many of you may recognise Ian who has run some great Liquor stores around the area. Ian has really brought some great product knowledge to the Dee Why store! These guys are backed up by Craig who keeps the staff engaged in No.1 customer satisfaction!

The Buying & Marketing Team
Andy has been around for a while with over 35 years in the Liquor industry from manager at the famous Crown of the Hill Cellars in the 80’s to working for a wine company in the 90’s and buying for Bayfield’s for the last 26 years – he has built up great relationships with many wineries and liquor suppliers and working on getting the very best deals available for you!
Mel joined us a couple of years ago and brings with her over 25 years experience in Liquor Marketing having started as a junior buyer for the Qantas In Sky Shopping department back in the 90’s (yep – she must have started as a 12 year old!). She now heads up the online business for us. Mel does all the propeller head stuff and runs the website so it all work like clockwork!
Both Andy and Mel are locals – and both love this great area we live in!
