It’s International Scotch Day, and while most of us tend to associate classic cocktails with gin and rum, Scotch whisky is a key ingredient in some of the world’s most loved cocktails.
Try our Bayfield’s Cocktail of the Week – The Rob Roy
This recipe is similar to the beloved Manhattan (made famous by Carrie and her friends over a decade ago), but with Scotch Whisky instead of Rye Whiskey, and Orange Bitters instead of Aromatic Bitters. This cocktail is a spirited take on a classic which demonstrates the versatility of one of the world’s oldest drinks.
Ingredients:
60ml Chivas Regal
20ml Real Rogue Bianco Vermouth
3 dashes Angostura Orange Bitters
Garnish with Brandied Cherries
Add all the ingredients into a mixing glass over ice and stir.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with 2 speared brandied cherries.
As always, enjoy responsibly.
